My relationship with wildlife began long before I became a full-time artist.

I hold a Master’s degree in wildlife biology and spent years working in the field, including research and conservation-related work in the Canadian Rockies. That background continues to shape how I see and paint animals — not as decoration, but as living beings shaped by habitat, weather, instinct, territory, and survival.

Over the years, I have supported wildlife and conservation efforts through donated image use, fundraising collaborations, and collector-supported donations when possible. Original paintings are the foundation of my livelihood, so I do not donate them lightly, but I remain deeply committed to using my work in ways that honor and support wild places and the animals that inhabit them.
